In the 14th century, new radical converts to Christianity were called “neophytes” (from Greek neophytos: newly planted, newly converted) and were often assigned to a more seasoned believer to guide them through their first year as a follower of Jesus. There’s no better way to describe NEO Academy. We ask students to set aside one to two years of their life to study & train with passionate pastors and leaders. “NEO” also represents NorthEast Ohio, where we’re located!
NEO Academy is a Bible-based apprenticeship program designed to guide people toward becoming what they believe – becoming more like Jesus and becoming the person God created them to be. NEO is based out of The Movement, a fast growing church plant in Northeast Ohio whose goal is to empower and release people of all ages to reach others with the gospel of Jesus. NEO Academy focuses on equipping students in practical, relational, innovative ministry in three key areas:
Gain wisdom, hands-on training and practical experience learning how to launch, develop, lead, and grow a church community.
Impact the future of the Church, by learning how to create a dynamic, life-changing ministry environment for children, youth and their families.
Learn how to establish a culture of worship and create an atmosphere for people to experience God, using music, media and creativity.
